Comfort Fit

com·fort | ˈkəm(p)-fərt

noun

A ring design, in which the edges of the shank are rounded for maximum comfort

The comfort fit ring is a type of ring that is vaulted in the interior of the ring - the area where the metal adjoins with the finger - instead of the standard fit, which is level with the finger. The radius of the central area of the ring (in the middle of the edges of the metal) is quite small compared to the diameter at the edges of the ring. The comfort fit ring is an excellent choice for men as it is effortless to slide over a large knuckle - designed for longevity in mind. Comfort fit rings are a recently developed ring design with orbital interiors. Due to the fact that the orbital interior requires far more material to create the band, these rings tend to cost slightly more than the average standard fit rings - however, as most wearers will admit, it is worth paying a bit more, given these are worn for the rest of their life.
